There are other ways to investigate whether web sites shield a minor's access to sexually explicit content other than tapping into the public's personal on-line seaches and activities. Plus, parents need to fuckin chill with their paradoxical views... they rebuke at the idea of their kids having access to sexually graphic images while they allow them to watch violence on TV and play violent video games. Why don't you put your own kids in check instead of impeding on the private lives of everyone else? It's your fault for having them in the first place.

Probably, porn/sex is not of a high interest to government and state. Accustom people to crime and violence yields a much higher return. Just consider the huge spendings on military and internal security in most states around the world. They must keep people fearful to maintain those government programs and this spending behavior. Promoting sex would 'just' stimulate porn industry and may raise the fertility rate. But these are not spheres of influence of governments.
Governments' most protected function is internal and external security, which consumes a large part of todays budgets.
That's the world we live in! Surely not my ideal world I'd like to live in...
